Choosing our caravan was one of the biggest—and most important—purchases we’ve ever made. Since we planned to live in it full-time, we knew it had to feel like a true home, offering comfort, convenience, and plenty of space to live and work without feeling cramped.
After months of research and careful consideration, we settled on the Evernew 23’ RT1000, and it has exceeded our expectations in every way. This van is built tough enough to handle some of the roughest conditions that Outback Australia can throw at it, while still providing all the comforts we need for long-term living.
Our Evernew features a separate bedroom with a full queen-size bed, a dedicated toilet and shower, and a 4.5kg front-loader washing machine—making life on the road feel truly comfortable. The caravan is equipped with a powerful Dometic reverse cycle air conditioner and a diesel heater, so we stay comfortable no matter the weather.
For added convenience and outdoor living, there’s a handy BBQ slide-out, perfect for cooking up a meal after a day of exploring. The van’s electrical system includes a robust 200 AH battery paired with a 2000-watt inverter, ensuring we have plenty of power to run everything smoothly, whether we’re plugged into mains or off-grid.
With features like Cruisemaster Independent Suspension and a weight just under 3000kg, this caravan is built to take on tough terrain without compromising stability or comfort.
After four years living and travelling full-time in our Evernew, there’s truly very little we would change. It’s not just a caravan — it’s our home, our base, and the key to exploring Australia’s most remote and beautiful places in comfort.
