This 12-day / 11-night adventure traces the Darling River from Brewarrina to Wentworth, weaving together ancient culture, historic river towns, working stations and peaceful riverside camps.
This is a road trip designed to slow you down — to sit by the river, share stories around a campfire, and experience the outback the way it was meant to be experienced.
Important note: This trip includes travel on dirt roads and access to remote stations and river camps. A semi off-road capable caravan, camper or motorhome is recommended to comfortably enjoy the full itinerary.

Note: Travel conditions in Outback NSW can vary. June generally offers mild, sunny days that are ideal for exploring, however nights can be cold and occasional frosts are possible. While winter is typically drier than summer, rainfall can still occur and may affect unsealed roads, making them temporarily muddy or impassable.
Daytime temperatures usually sit around 18°C, with cooler evenings and early mornings. Wind and winter showers are also possible. If road or weather conditions require it, an alternative itinerary will be implemented to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey for all travellers.
